The seventh annual COPS for Kids Easter egg hunt will take place on Saturday March 23 at the Trumann Sports Complex. Thousands of eggs will be hidden. Each child who hunts will receive a prize regardless of the number of eggs they find. There will be face painting, hot dogs, cokes, and chips free of charge to everyone...

Earnest Eugene Davis Sr., 62, of Bay died March 15 at his residence. He was a truck driver and of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Martha Davis of the home, three sons, Earnest Davis Jr., James Davis, and Dennis Davis all of Bay, one daughter Debbie Davis of Eldorado, one sister Effie Needham of Monette, two brothers, Grady Davis of Walnut Ridge, and Raymond Davis of Lepanto, and 15 grandchildren...

Cecil Dunning, 56, died March 14, 2002 in Jonesboro of natural causes. Dunning was born in Elkhart, Ind. and had lived most of his lifetime in the Brookland and Bay area. Elmer Rogers, 71, of Bay died March 17, 2002 at his residence. He was born in Leachville and had lived most of his life in Bay. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Elm Grove Missionary Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Rogers of the home; two sons, Harvey Rogers of Bay and Allen Rogers of Trumann; three daughters, Margarett Patrick of Memphis, Donna Rains of Paragould and Paula Barnhill of Trumann; one brother, Jerry W. ...

Frances C. Coleman, 82, died March 11, 2002 at the family residence in Monette of natural causes. Coleman was born in Rector and had lived in Monette for the past 40 years. She was formerly of Trumann. She and her husband owned and operated the Western Auto Store in Monette before their retirement. She was a member of the Monette United Methodist Church and was a former organist for the Monette Methodist Church and the First United Methodist Church in Trumann...
