Local resident sentenced for drug trafficking

Steven Brown, 49, of the Harrisburg area, has been sentenced to five years in a federal prison in a drug trafficking case. Brown pleaded guilty in March to a single charge of possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. The U.S. Attorney’s Office dropped five other drug-related crimes in exchange for his guilty plea. Brown’s wife, Tabatha Renee Brown, 42, also pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a felon.
