Business dispute lands one in jail/one in hospital

One person was injured and another ended up in jail after a dispute between the owners of Daily Donuts in Trumann. The incident occurred this past Sunday when store owners Makara Choeung and Boren Un got into an argument. Trumann police officer Jarred Carter was flagged down while patrolling the area. JPs approve food pantry grants

In their scheduled monthly meeting this past Monday night, the Poinsett County Quorum Court approved to give the six food pantries in the county $2,500 each. This is the second year in a row the court has given monies to help the pantries.
