Yesenia Martinez-Gamez, 22, of Marked Tree, passed away October 3, 2023 in Memphis, Tenn. She was born July 12, 2001 in Rogers to Celestino Martinez and Vicenta Gamez-Gudino. Yesenia was an employee at the Tobacco Store in Horn Lake, Miss. She is survived by her parents, Celestino Martinez of Mexico and Vicenta Gamez-Gudino (Edgardo Castllo) of Marked Tree; two brothers, Angel Martinez-Gamez and Christian Gudina of Marked Tree; four sisters, Esmeralda Martinez-Gamez, Jasmine Martinez-Gamez and Ulyssa Gamez of Marked Tree and Isabella Mason of Memphis, Tenn.;her grandparents, Catalina Gudino and Odilon Gamez of Mexico; two nephews, Leonardo Castillo and Alvi Martinez-Smith and two nieces Guadalupe Castillo and Mazikeen Smith.. ...

Poinsett County man confesses to explosive charge

Franklin Pickle, 56, who lives east of Weiner and is a former combat engineer for the Arkansas National Guard from Poinsett County has pleaded guilty to a federal explosives charge. Pickle pleaded guilty this past Friday in U.S. District Court in Little Rock to a single charge of possession of an unregistered firearm.
