A volunteer with Marked Tree Animal Shelter had their house destroyed by fire this past Monday. The house was located in the 100 block of Nathan Drive and the homeowners were present at the time of the fire. Knowing the couple kept animals inside, neighbors and first responders were able to cut loose dogs and let the cats out the backdoor...

Trumann Fire Chief Revis Kemper got into a physical altercation with his neighbors in October of last year. Kemper was charged Sunday, October 23, with third-degree assault and his wife was charged with third-degree battery, non-domestic. Kemper was put on administrative leave after the altercation. On November 11, 2022, Kemper was reinstated as Trumann fire chief following an investigation over a video where he could be seen getting into a fight on his front lawn with his neighbors...
