Poinsett County Sheriff's Office Deputies Jason Thomas and Jimmy Stotts were dispatched to a missing person complaint on Highway 1this past Sunday according to a report sent to the Poinsett County Democrat Tribune. The complaint was in regards to Charles Covington, 51, who had gone out squirrel hunting around 3:00 p.m. earlier in the day and was last heard from around 4:00 p.m. A family member had tried to call Covington but he did not answer the phone...

Trumann woman charged with child endangerment

Amber Rose Brewer was charged with eight counts of first-degree child endangerment after she struck two children during an altercation with another woman. Brewer was arrested after a domestic dispute on December 10 at a home on Jennifer Street in Trumann. During the altercation with the woman, eight children were present. Brewer swung at the woman and instead hit a nine-month old child in the face. Brewer then struck an 11-year old child when the child tried to break the dispute up...
