Jonathan Michael Sumner, 26, of Marked Tree, a convicted sex offender, faces new charges after investigators say he forced a child to perform a sex act on him. Harrisburg man killed in bicycle/vehicle crash

A wreck this past Thursday on Highway 14 near Town Creek Lane outside of Harrisburg involving a bicycle and a vehicle claimed the life of Rusty Chappell, 53, of Harrisburg. The Poinsett County Sheriff's Office received a call about the incident around 8:10 Thursday night. Chappell traveled across the highway into the path of the vehicle.
