Trumann city council approves sale of properties

The Trumann City Council met in regular session on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. in the courtroom of the Judicial Complex. Council members Hazel Riley and Dwight England were absent. Trumann community garden continues to grow (Local News ~ 08/20/21)
In his fourth year as the coordinator for the Trumann Community Garden on Douglas Street, Jacob Sawyer recently gave an update on the garden. Three years ago, the Trumann Food Pantry wrote a grant proposal for the "Blue and You" initiative through Blue Cross and Blue Shield for $25,000 and the city of Trumann allowed the use a plot of land at the 400 block of Douglas Street with the city maintaining the yard outside of the 100' x 100' community garden. ... -
Harrisburg man arrested on suspicion of breaking and entering (Local News ~ 08/20/21)
Joseph Burnsed, 35, was arrested August 12 after Jonesboro police officers went to the Amberwood Cove area due to a call about two people breaking into vehicles. When officers got to the scene, one of the suspects took off running as did Burnsed.
