Harrisburg, Lepanto and Tyronza Volunteer Fire Departments all received Wildfire Suppression Kits from Arkansas Department of Agriculture’s Forestry Division recently. The Rural Fire Protection program, managed by the Arkansas Department of Agriculture’s Forestry Division, received $294,442.24 to purchase and distribute 96 Wildfire Suppression Kits to rural volunteer fire departments. The money was awarded as part of the Volunteer Fire Assistance Grant from the United States Forest Service...

EPC’s Keegan McCorkle has been named to the Class 2A All-State softball team after a stellar sophomore season. McCorkle helped lead her team to a 2A North Regional tournament runner-up finish and to the Class 2A State playoffs. McCorkle shined in the circle with a 23-7 record on year while allowing 109 runs (51 earned) on 122 hits in 185 and two-thirds innings.
