Quorum court to purchase to new sound system

The Poinsett County Quorum Court had their regularly scheduled meeting this past Monday at the Poinsett County Detention Center. Justices Liz Schwarz and Carmack Sanders were absent. A new sound system was set up for the justices to try out and they agreed to purchase the new system. The Trumann School Board had a special “Work Session” meeting on January 11. All board members were present for the meeting. In the work session part of the meeting, Trumann Superintendent Brandie Williams presented the new mission statement, “Mission: Trumann School District, a caring and collaborative learning community, will ensure each student achieves intellectual and personal excellence and is well prepared for college and career pathways.” Williams also gave the new vision statement, “Education students for success in a changing world.” Assistant Superintendent Cody Wallis presented an ESSA overview, curriculum/instruction overview and a summary of the Trumann School District school level and district level improvement plans. ...
