Wildcats win thriller in overtime (High School Sports ~ 01/13/21)
For the second time in a week, the Trumann Wildcats had to go to overtime in earning a win. This past Saturday, Trumann trailed Westside at end of each quarter before erupting for a 25 point output in the fourth quarter erased a six point deficit to tie the game at 52. The Wildcats outscored the Warriors 9-5 in the overtime period to win 61-57 at Wildcat Gym. Bridge burned again in Poinsett County (Local News ~ 01/13/21)
For the second time in five months, the wooden bridge on Desmond Lake Road was set on fire this past Monday. This time the bridge was destroyed. Investigators with the Poinsett County Sheriff's Office want to know who set the fire. Poinsett County Sheriff Kevin Molder said the Lepanto Fire Department responded to the fire around 6 a.m. Monday morning.
