Harrisburg's Mason Summers was recently selected to the Class 3A All-State football team. Summers help lead his team to a 7-4 record and a Class 3A state playoff berth. Summers totaled 71 tackles on the year with 21 solo tackles and 50 assisted tackles. He had seven quarterback sacks with three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. Summers was also a key part of the offensive line for the Harrisburg offense...

Trumann used a big fourth quarter to upset Riverside 46-42 last Wednesday (January 8) in the quarter-final round of the George Kell Classic. The Lady Wildcats were back in action the next night facing second seed Marmaduke as Trumann lost 64-42. The old Community House in Trumann recently had new lights installed in the facility. Tim Cooper, partner with BigDot Electrical, installed new energy efficient lights in the Community house building and the basketball court inside the community house. The older 40 watt bulbs were replaced with brighter, 15 watt bulbs. These smaller wattage bulbs save on the cost of electricity for the community house...
