Justice Hansen was responsible for five touchdowns as the Arkansas State football team defeated Georgia State 51-35 Thursday night at Centennial Bank Stadium. Hansen finished the night 17-of-28 passing for 257 yards and three touchdowns as he now holds the school record with 70 career passing touchdowns. He added 76 rushing yards and two scores to his night as the A-State (4-3, 1-2 SBC) offense produced a season-high of 273 yards rushing while finishing with 530 yards of total offense...

A strong running game that produced five touchdowns along with two punt returns for touchdowns carried EPC (5-1-1, 4-1) to a 42-22 win over Cross County in 2A-3 junior high football action last Thursday at Warrior Field in Lepanto. Cross County got the ball first at their own 20-yard and moved the ball to the 33-yard line before having to punt with the ball being downed at the EPC 39-yard line with 4:34 left. ...

Trumann (5-3, 4-1) got two touchdowns rushing and one touchdown passing from Will White at the Wildcats downed Pocahontas 28-14 this past Friday night at Pocahontas. White completed two of three passes for 21 yards. Jay Morgan had 14 carries for 94 yards and a touchdown while catching both of White's passes with a touchdown. MJ Barnes led the Wildcats' defense with nine tackles as Noah Milligan added eight tackles for Trumann...

Two turnovers by Harrisburg (2-6, 1-4) on their first two possessions of the third quarter led to two Walnut Ridge touchdowns as the Bobcats added a score in the fourth quarter to down the Hornets 28-15 this past Friday in a cold rain during 3A-3 conference action at Hornet Stadium...

Mr. Derrick Anthony Holt, 44 of Trumann departed this life Saturday, October 20, 2018 in Trumann. He was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas and lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. He was an electrician and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Marcell Holt Hendrix, grandparents, Harvey Holt and Francis George Dunn and one uncle, David Holt.He is survived by a special friend, Brandy Irvin of Trumann; three daughters, Anna Waleszonia and Halie Holt both of Trumann and Jordan Phefier of Harrisburg.Family received friends on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. ...

Mary Ruth Ratton, 78, of Marked Tree, Arkansas died Saturday, October 20, 2018 at her home in Marked Tree. Herschel B. Worthy, age 82, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 15, 2018 in Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. Worthy was born April 17, 1936 to parents Herschel A. and Faith Worthy. Herschel was a resident of West Memphis. He was of the Baptist faith and attended the University of Arkansas. ...
