TRUMANN - Mr. James Robert Berger, 82, departed this life on Sunday at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark. He was born Wednesday, March 13, 1935 in Ratio, Ark., to the late Homer and Ellie Hicks Berger and lived the last 32 years in Trumann. He was a truck driver and of the Pentecostal faith. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Berger and second wife, Shirley Berger; one grandson, Christopher Mathis; one sister, and his parents, Homer and Ellie Hicks Berger...

LEPANTO - Maerine Tippitt Martin, 46, was born February 1, 1972 in Newport, Ark. to Perry and Evenlyn Stephens Whitehead. She was a factory worker and of the Baptist faith. Maerine passed away March 10, 2018 at her home in Lepanto. She is survived by her companion, Carl Martin of Lepanto; one stepson, Ken Martin of Brookland, Ark; one brother, Lynn Carmen of Miss.; four sisters, Catherine Renfro, Deborah Burk and Wilma Payne of Trumann and Etta Long of Harrisburg, and two step-grandchildren. ...
