Bay jumped out to a 20-4 first quarter lead before going on to a 50-30 win over Hillcrest in the Williams Baptist College high school tournament this past Monday in Walnut Ridge. Bay got a bye in the first round. Kaylee Crain got Bay on the board first with a stick back basket before Mallory Hartley hit two free throws for the Lady 'Jackets to make it 4-0. ...

Bay holds on for win over Pocahontas

Josh Willard and Tyler Hartgen combined to hit three of four free throws to help Bay beat Pocahontas in second round action of the Williams Baptist College high school tournament this past Monday in Walnut Ridge. Hartgen scored inside to give Bay the early 2-0 lead only to see the Redskins score the next eight points to go up 8-2 with just over four minutes left. ...

The Junior Hornets could only muster nine points in the first half as they fell behind 26-9 at the break and could never catch up as Gosnell posted a 50-30 win in junior high basketball action this past Tuesday at Harrisburg. Gosnell jumped out to a 4-0 lead before River Carter hit a jumper for the Junior Hornets to make the score 4-2 Junior Pirates with 3:11 left. ...

Hornets hang on for win over Gosnell

Harrisburg let an eight point halftime slip away in the second half before a strong fourth quarter carried the Hornets to a 48-45 win over Gosnell at the Hornet's Nest this past Tuesday. Gosnell got on the board with a steal and layup before Gavin Casebier scored inside, Walker Brown canned a three-pointer and Casebier scored inside again to give the Hornets a 7-2 lead. ...
