TRUMANN - Ms. Mary Janice Pitts, 89, of Trumann departed this life on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Arlington Cove Nursing Center in Trumann, Ark. She was born in Jonesboro, Ark., and lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a retired nurse and a member of First Baptist Church. Lady Yellowjacket Mallory Hartley, a sophomore, capped off a remarkable season with her recent selection to the Class 1A all-state basketball team. Hartley averaged 11 points, seven rebounds and two steals a game this past season in helping Bay claim it's first ever state basketball title for the girls' team with a 33-9 record. ...
