TRUMANN - Mrs. Lottie Earlene Linton of Trumann departed this life Sunday, January 22, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Place in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 92. She was born Friday, May 9, 1924 and was a lifetime resident of Trumann. Mrs. Linton was a retired factory worker and a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glyn M. Linton, one sister, five brothers and her parents, William and Mary Whitfield Holley...

Harrisburg fell behind early and then had trouble with Manila's press as the Junior Lady Hornets lost to Manila 39-13 this past Monday in Manila. The Junior Lady Lions scored the first ten points of the game before Lessie Dowty hit one of two free throws for Harrisburg to make the score 10-1 Manila with two minutes left in the opening quarter. Neither team score the remainder of the quarter...

Harrisburg (12-8, 9-2 4A/3A-4) went on the road to Manila this past Monday for blended conference basketball action and came away with a 56-40 win over the Lady Lions. Manila opened the game with a three-pointer as Kylie DeVries answered with a three-pointer for Harrisburg to make the score 3-3. ...

Trumann's offense was dormant for most of the night as Westside jumped out to a 17-0 lead after the first quarter and never looked back on their way to a 65-11 win over the Junior Wildcats this past Tuesday in Trumann. Whitlee Layne scored 20 points to lead the Bay Lady Yellowjackets to a 73-25 win over Armorel this past Tuesday in Bay. Abby Frisby added 17 points, Sarah Blackman finished with 13 points as Mallory Hartley tossed in 10 points. Bay won the junior high game 23-4...
