After two days of uncertainty last week, Chad Henderson was reinstated as Lepanto Police Chief after a special council meeting Thursday, Sept. 8. Trumann Police Department fourth in state to receive accreditation

The Trumann Police Department was honored by the Arkansas Law Enforcement Accreditation Program at the Trumann City Council's monthly meeting Monday night. Director Gary Sipes of the Arkansas Association of Police Chiefs presented Trumann Police Chief Chad Henson with the certificate showing that the police department has met all 188 standards, becoming only the fourth agency in the state to receive accreditation. ...

Trumann sales tax passes

The proposed one cent sales tax for Trumann passed Tuesday by a close margin. According to unofficial results from County Clerk Teresa Rouse's office, the tax passed 376-312. The tax is to be used as a revenue stream for several city improvements which are part of a long range plan for Trumann. ...
