Trumann High School Drama teacher Rob Spencer spoke to the Trumann Lions Club last Wednesday at their weekly meeting. Spencer had a special guest with him, Edna Turnblad, (aka THS teacher Wesley Hooper). Spencer talked about the success of the play "Hairspray" the Drama Club did last year. ...

The Trumann Lady Wildcats (1-0) opened their volleyball season with a win over West Memphis in five sets, 23/25, 23/25, 25/9, 25/19 and 15/9. The Lady Wildcats had to rally back after being down two games to none to win the match. Hannah Wood had seven digs, Misty Moye had 11 digs with Savannah Morgan collecting four aces and nine digs. Taelor Gartman had five digs and three aces with Ashton Parker serving six aces...

Marked Tree hosted a five team junior high football jamboree that included Trumann, Hazen, Piggott and Corning. Each team played two 30 minute games. Trumann and Marked Tree squared off in game one. Trumann got scores on a Will Ryan White pass to MJ Barnes and touchdown runs from Zac Buchanan and Jay Taylor Morgan. Marked Tree got a touchdown run from Kylen Johnson...
