Students entertain fine arts council

The Trumann Fine Arts Council held their annual program for the public on Thursday, Nov. 13. The meeting was a unique one with several students in the Trumann High School Choir performing pieces from recent musicals put on by the drama department. Second half surge carries EPC to win

EPC's second half surge carried the Lady Warriors to a 53-47 win over conference rival Marked Tree this past Monday in Lepanto. The Lady Indians jumped out to a 6-0 lead with Lexi Perry scoring four points and Tullia Tull adding two free throws. Junior Wildcats take second in Bay tourney

Trumann couldn't find an answer to the Junior Mustangs pressure defense this past Saturday in the finals of the Bay Invitational tournament. BIC held the the Junior Wildcats scoreless in the third quarter as they went on to win 57-27. Shelley named to All-Centennial Team

Elbert Shelley was named as a defensive starter on the Arkansas State University All-Centennial Team in festivities held recently at Centennial Bank Stadium. Shelley had a standout career at Trumann High School where he played running back and safety before signing to play college football at Arkansas State.
