Marked Tree designated as Silver Medal School

According to U.S. News and World Report, Marked Tree High School ranks 18 in the state of Arkansas as a silver medal school. Settlement reached in Lepanto sports complex lawsuit

The Lepanto City Council, in a special called meeting Tuesday night, agreed to a settlement with Jancour Construction. Mayor Steve Jernigan said he, along with City Attorney Noyl Houston and City Clerk Tamara Wyatt, met with representatives of Jancour last week for mediation in the lawsuit. Though no agreement was reached during mediation, Jernigan said the talk opened the door for further negotiation since then, and a number had been agreed upon for a settlement...
