Football meeting set at Trumann High School

The Trumann Football Program will be having a parent meeting on Monday July 15th at 6:00 p.m. in the Trumann High School Auditorium. Parents of athletes in grades 7-12 are asked to attend. A-State's Carrethers named to Bednarik Award watch list

Arkansas State senior defensive lineman Ryan Carrethers (Nashville, Tenn.) has been named to the 2013 Bednarik Award Watch List, announced Monday by the Maxwell Football Club. Carrethers is the first Arkansas State player to ever be named to the watch list for the Bednarik Award, presented annually since 1995 to the college defensive player of the year. Arkansas State football senior kicker Brian Davis (Brentwood, Tenn.) has been named one of 30 players to the 2013 Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award Watch List, announced Wednesday by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission.
