Mr. Michael Ray Rouse of Trumann died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at UAMS in Little Rock at the age of 52 years, 11 months and 15 days. He was born Saturday, July 18, 1959, in Trumann, Ark., to the late Garland J.R. "Sonny" Rouse and Joann Timbs Williams. Mr. Rouse was a lifetime resident of Trumann, a fork lift operator and of the Baptist faith...

The Maxie Theatre is for sale. The theatre was built in 1946 by John Hurd and Zell and Lonnie Jaynes. It opened on Aug. 20, 1947 and has been operated by Jack and Pauline Noel since 1962. In April of 2011, it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Now one Trumann woman is working on raising the money to save the theatre from being gutted...
