EPC nets Jennings Championship

EPC hustled its way to another championship Dec. 11, winning the Gerald Jennings Invitational Tournament at Valley View High School in Jonesboro. EPC defeated Manila 55-51.

Bike route plan tabled due to concerns

Trumann falls in Pre-Holiday Tournament, MT Splits, EPC Ladies fall

Being the host school for the Pre-Holiday Tournament got the Wildcats no favors. Trumann made it to the semi-finals by defeating Harrisburg on Dec. 6, but dropped that semi-final game to the Nettleton Raiders, 51-43 on Dec. 9.

EPC schools approved for renovation project

The Arkansas Department of Education's facilities group approved East Poinsett County Schools for a project they have to make renovations at the elementary campuses in Lepanto and Tyronza.

Quorum court passes 2011 budget

With revenues exceeding appropriations, the Poinsett County Quorum Court passed their 2011 budget at Monday's meeting. The county general has $2.4 million in appropriated funds for 2011. The county general fund's projected revenue is $3.2 million.
