"We knew we would have to do some recruiting to get some more kids playing." said coach Tim Branum about the 2008 Marked Tree Indians football season.

The EPC Warriors finished spring practices looking forward to moving back into the 2A-3 next season. "There were times last year we had around 20 or so players and we had to go up against teams with 30-35," said coach Bryan Harris. "They could do a lot of substituting we couldn't. It'll be more even this year."

Chris Maddox and Carson Tyler of EPC baseball stars will be playing in the Xtra Innings Summer Classic Sunday and Monday, June 29 and 30, at Jonesboro. They are among 88 of the top underclassmen in Arkansas to make up the four teams. Helping to represent the Northeast team, Maddox and Tyler will be joined by their coach, Brian Weathers, who was chosen to be an assistant coach...
