A fatal accident claimed the life of Lake City resident Lisa Adams Cobb Friday. The 45 year old female died in a head on collision with a tractor trailer truck owned by MFA Oil in Marked Tree. According to a preliminary fatal crash report issued by the Arkansas State Police, Cobb was traveling west on Highway 135 near Rivervale when her 2004 Toyota crossed the center line and collided head on with the 1998 Freightliner which was traveling east on Highway 135...

Tribune Editor Marked Tree City Councilmen saw drawings for the proposed sports and recreation complex Monday night, a plan if approved will cost somewhere between $1.5 and $2 million to complete. Francis "F.M." May, formerly of Harrisburg and Lepanto, died Friday, March 9 in Searcy at the age of 88. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Billie Cady May; a daughter, Frances Gallagher and a son, Mike May, all of Searcy. May served 23 years as Lepanto High School principal and counselor before retiring in 1976. ...

Blanche Marie Hendricks, 91, of Marked Tree died Tuesday, March 13, at Three Rivers Nursing Center in Marked Tree. She was a member of the 7th Day Adventists Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Jack Hendricks. Buel Edward Adamson, 89, of Marked Tree died Monday, March 5 at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was a member of the Red Oak Baptist Church and a retired Farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Adamson. Survivors include two sons: Dale Adamson and his wife Janice Adamson of Jonesboro and Jerry Adamson of Marked Tree; two daughters: Doris Pounders and her husband Buddy Pounders of Lepanto and Mary Kathryn Anderson and her husband Tony Anderson of Crawfordsville; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.. ...

Mildred Arnold Blankenship, 89, of Hot Springs passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2007. Born in 1917 in the Macey community near Monette, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Rosalie McDonal Arnold. Mildred lived in Jonesboro and Corning before moving to Heber Springs with her late husband, Tucker Blankenship, in 1975. ...

Doyle Tarlton, 74, of Marked Tree recently returned home after a lengthy, but successful recovery at Three Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Marked Tree. His rehabilitation began in December of last year after he'd had complications due to a colon operation, and Tarlton knows that without the encouragement of the staff at Three Rivers, he wouldn't be able to return home...
