The Clay Hubbard family of Harrisburg was named the Northeast District Farm Family of the Year. Crow and Gill place second and third in horseshoe pitching world championships

Tribune Sports Staff For the second year in a row, Arnold Crow and Bill Gill of Tyronza competed in the World Horseshoe Pitching Championship. This year's contest took place in Gillette, Wyo. and involved 904 entrants. Crow finished with a 12-5 record giving him a 46.03 average which was good enough for a second place finish and a $200. prize.
