A weekend altercation lead to one Trumann man's death, another in the hospital, one unharmed and another behind bars accused of murder. Trumann Police Chief Larry Blagg said Arlen Dale Campbell, 33, of Trumann died just before noon on Sunday, Jan. 28 at the NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro from injuries sustained in an altercation Saturday morning...

Lonnie Darrell Sims, 57, of Trumann died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born in Trumann and a lived there all of his life. Sims was a machinist for Bob's Auto Parts in Jonesboro and of the Baptist faith...

Arkansas State University in Jonesboro awarded 627 diplomas on Friday, Dec. 16, during the Fall Commencement Ceremony in the Convocation Center. The second annual Miss Wildcat beauty pageant is set for 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11. Coordinators prefer entries prior to day of pageant, but will accept entries at the door. Unico Bank celebrated their grand opening and ribbon cutting Friday morning. The bank opened it second Trumann branch at 514 Industrial Drive, in the far end of the Wal-Mart SuperCenter parking lot near the 63 bypass. First Baptist Church Trumann will be holding "Shoot For The Son" Basketball Skill Camp, every Saturday in March. The camp is available for all kids in first grade through fourth grade.
