Marvin E. Hindman, 82, died Nov. 17, 2005 at St. Bernard's in Jonesboro. A retired farmer, he lived in Tyronza and was an Army WWII and Korean Veteran. He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Hindman and mother, Lillie Worley Hindman. Survivors include one daughter, Terry Richter of Marshall; one sister, Marie Smith of Mt. Morris, Mich.; and two brothers, Bob Hindman and Hardin Hindman, both of Tyronza. Graveside services were held Saturday, Nov. 19 at Tyronza Cemetery...

Brookland, playing their 10th game of the season, defeated Trumann, playing only their second game, 72-63, at Brookland Friday night. The Wildcats had four players in double figures and enjoyed a two-point lead at the end of the first half, but were unable to overcome a 28-point night by the Bearcats' Corey Cope.
