MT Board of Education approves $250,000 loan

In Monday night's meeting, the Marked Tree Board of Education voted unanimously to approve a Qualified Zone Academy Bonds or QZAB, a $250,000 loan from the Bank of America. The QZAB is a federal program set established five years ago that gives particular school districts an allotment of money. The district will make 10 annual deposits of $23,817.48 each May beginning May 31, 2006. Interest is compounded semi-annually and is reinvested in the agreement at an investment rate of 1.07%...

Sanders of Lepanto, who gave his life for his country in World War II, along with letters Sanders had written to him from overseas during the war.
