Bobby Arnold, Jr., homeless, was arrested on May 4 by Trumann Police Department SFC Shane Blagg. He was charged with conspiring to deliver a controlled substance, tampering with evidence and fleeing on foot. According to police reports the suspect was in the street at the window of a truck that the TPD received a call on, when the officer turned on the street Mr. Arnold took off running and ran into a house and flushed some items...

THS graduations set for next Friday

The Trumann High School graduating class of 1955 will have a 50th class reunion on Saturday, May 14. The day will kick off at 8 a.m. with breakfast at Main St. Café in Trumann. There will be all day visiting, starting at 10 .m. in the home of Kenneth and Wanda Linton, 1243 St. Augustine. Anyone who would like to visit is welcome to drop by at any time during the day. Peewee football and cheerleading sign ups

The Trumann Pee-wee football program will have sign ups from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday May 14 and Sunday May 21. These sign ups will be at the Trumann Recreational Complex on Pecan Grove Road. Viper Squad received donation

The Trumann Police Department has a new crime squad called, Viper Squad. Their motto is, "Striking Down Crime." Chief Larry Blagg said this is something he has been planning and implementing for the past six months. Each member had to try out for the squad. To make the squad applicants had to pass strenuous physical regimen and have a clean record on file with the department. AR Highway opens bids

LITTLE ROCK (5-04) -- The Arkansas State Highway Commission has opened bids for improvements to roadways in Poinsett County, according to Commissioner John Ed Regenold of Armorel and Poinsett County Judge Doyle Hillis. The first project will resurface 4.5 miles of Highway 14, beginning at Waldenburg and extending westward.
