Willie Kathleen Griffith, 88, of Bay passed away on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005 at the Craighead County Nursing Center where she had resided for the past five years. She was born in Dalton and had lived most of her life in the Bay area. She was retired from Clean Services, Inc. of Jonesboro, a member of the Bay Church of Christ, member of the Bay Quilting Club and active in the Bay Senior Citizens Group...

William Clayburn Hurd, 82, of Crossett passed away on Jan. 5, 2005 at Ashley County Medical Center. He retired as the supervisor of payroll accounting for Georgia Pacific after 29 years, he was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Crossett where he served as a deacon and an elder and was a member of the choir for over 30 years, he was a charter member of the Crossett Players, in the Spring of 1988 the board of directors of the Crossett Players voted to rename the Crossett Playhouse, "The Hurd Playhouse," in honor of Hurd and his wife Marjorie, he was a mason and member of the Rotary Club, he was named Rotarian of the Year and a Paul Harris Fellow.. ...

Paul W. Collins, 89, of Jonesboro passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005 at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born in Valley View, a lifetime resident of Jonesboro, of the Methodist faith and a farmer. Jamie Hutcherson was arrested on Jan. 6 by PFC Gary Henry. Hutcherson was charged with felon in possession of a firearm. The arrest was made after a probation search revealed Hutcherson had a 9 mm handgun in his waistband. He was given a bond of $250,000 and a circuit court date of Feb. 8...

Eva Pearle Boling, 97, of Trumann died Monday, Jan. 3, at her residence. Born in Arkansas, she lived most of her life in Trumann. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Trumann. Survivors include one daughter, Edith Helen Davis of Henderson, Nev.; two stepdaughters, Ruby Robbins of Trumann and Vivian Huckabee of Searcy; one stepson, Eugene Boling of Clawson, Mich.; one grandchild and one great-grandchild...
