Tyronza to build water tower in city

Marked Tree School Board approves plan to restructure debt

The Marked Tree Board of Education voted 4-0 Monday night to accept the low bid of a Memphis financial company to restructure debt service for the district. In the special meeting, held Monday night at the Marked Tree High School Library, the board voted to accept the bid of First Tennessee Financial to restructure debt service to come into compliance with an order by the Arkansas Supreme Court that a school district will have 25 mills of Maintenance and Operation to reach compliance with Amendment 71 of the Arkansas constitution. ...
