The Trumann Wildcats drop their pre-season scrimmage to the Blue Devils of Hughes 26-0 Tuesday night at wildcat stadium. Mrs. Patricia Ann Harvey Coats, 50, of Trumann passed away on August 29, 2003, at the family residence from natural causes. Mrs. Coats was born in Lake City, Ark., and had lived most of her lifetime in the Trumann and Central Community. She was a homemaker and a member of the Viva Drive Church of Christ in Trumann. Mrs. Coats was preceded in death by her father, one sister and two brothers...

Mr. Donald L. Cromwell of Flint, Mich., passed away on Friday, August 29, 2003. There will be a memorial service held in honor of Mr. Cromwell at the Trumann Senior Citizen Center, on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 1 p.m.

Mrs. Norma Jean Fowler Norwood, 66, of Bay passed away August 31, 2003 at the Regional Medical Center of Northeast Arkansas in Jonesboro due to natural causes. Mrs. Norwood was born on August 31, 1937, in Harrisburg, Ark., and had lived in Bay for the past 36 years. She was a housewife and member of the Bay First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one step-son, Arlis E. Norwood, two brothers and her parents...

The Trumann School District Dropout Prevention Program will offer after school extended day classes this semester. These classes will allow students in the school district the opportunity to receive credit for a previous course.
