The annual Trumann Christmas parade will take place on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. The parade will be following a new route this year. It will begin at the Bank of Trumann on Hwy 463 South to Main St. Parade participants may stop at the high school or continue on back to the bank. Mayor elect Ronnie Harrison is scheduled to be the grand marshal. The theme for the parade is "Christ, the Heart of Christmas." If raining the parade will be on the following Sunday, Dec. 15...

Albert L. Nance of Kansas City, Mo., died November 19, 2002. He was 79 years old. Mr. Nance was born in Alton, Mo., on September 4, 1923 and was raised in Trumann. Mr. Nance was in the service and retired after serving 22 years in the army. Mr. Nance was survived by his wife, Mary Louise Nance; three daughters, Linda Whitten, Gail Burnette, and June Paige; one brother, Charlie Nance; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren...

Mrs. Henrietta McLaughlin died November 24, at the family residence in Trumann, of natural causes. She was 54 years old. Mrs. McLaughlin was born in Dyess, Ark., on January 3, 1948, and had lived in Trumann for the past 21 years. She was formerly of West Memphis. She was a site manager for Crowley Ridge Development Council and a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Trumann...
