The long hours and hard work were worth it when one of Lepanto's own learned she had been listed in the credits of "A Painted House." Dana Wright, a life-long Lepanto resident, received a call from casting before production began. She was told to stay on stand-by' through the beginning week of filming. A week later, she received her official casting call that she had been chosen to work with the cast as a "stand-in."...

What started as an idea by Arlene (Nichols) Felmey, the Nichols Memorial Garden Monument has finally become a reality. Rosemary Nichols followed up on the idea by looking around for a monument with a style and size that would fit in with the existing Nichols Cemetery. Quinton Ray and Rosemary Nichols also looked and priced monuments and benches. In the mean time, the donations from many people started flowing in and a quilt raffle held at the Terrapin Derby made this monument possible...
