Rayburn Morris Tucker, 51, of Lepanto died Oct. 28, 2002 at his residence. He was of the Baptist faith and was a carpenter. He was preceded in death by two children: Dewayne and Billy Joe Tucker. Mercer Owen Whayne, Jr., 84, of Lepanto died Saturday, October 26, 2002 at his daughter's residence in Overland Park, Kan. A pharmacist, Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Lepanto First United Methodist Church, Whayne was a lifelong resident of Lepanto. He graduated from the University of Mississippi and operated the Whayne Drug Store in Lepanto. He is succeeded in death by his father M. O. Whayne, Sr. who founded the drug store in the early 1900s...

Louise Marie Williams, 79, of Marked Tree died Friday, October 25, 2002 at the Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. A housewife and native of Booneville, Miss, Williams was of the Pentecostal faith. She is survived by three sons, Lawrence Williams, Lester Williams and Ben Williams, all of Marked Tree; one daughter, Joyce Williams of Trumann; one sister, Mary Brown of Marked Tree and two brothers, Zane and John Miller of Marked Tree. ...
