Tate MVP in the state (High School Sports ~ 07/03/02)

Kemp enjoying camps (High School Sports ~ 07/03/02)
Carla Kemp, an East Poinsett County student, is enjoying summer basketball camps. Kemp has attended the Wynne Yellowjackets camp and the Lady Indians Camp at Arkansas State University. Kemp received a basketball from the Wynne camp for first place in free throw shooting and a plaque from ASU for runner-up in free throw shooting. Kemp plans to attend more ball camps this summer... -

The Poinsett County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney's Office is announcing a new program today through the Hot Check Program. Beginning July 1, 2002, the Poinsett County Hot Check Program will initiate an Amnesty Program. Persons with outstanding misdemeanor or felony hot check warrants that have not been served will be eligible to pay their hot checks at the Poinsett County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney's Office without having a warrant served and without the necessity of a court appearance and court costs.. ...

TRUMANN - In the championship of the senior high Babe Ruth tournament here June 27-30, Osceola defeated Marked Tree 13-1. Marked Tree advanced to the final of the tournament by defeating the Paragould Redbirds in Game 2 of the tournament. Marked Tree then defeated Trumann but was sent to the loser's bracket after suffering a defeat to Osceola in Game 9 of the tournament. ...
