MT receives better fire rating

Marked Tree mayor Lawrence Ashlock received word Tuesday that as a result of the recent ISO Commercial Risk Services, Inc. inspection conducted in Sept. 2001, Marked Tree's fire rating classification will be a Class 5, down from Class 7. The better rating will mean in dollar terms, a 12 to 17 percent reduction in insurance premiums on real property for Marked Tree residents and saving homeowners thousands of dollars...
